Jorge Rossi, 60, of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at his home.
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, S.A., Jorge was raised in New York City, New York. Afterwards, he lived in Woodbridge for ten years, settling in Monroe Township in the mid-90s. For more than 20 years, Jorge worked as a Customer Service Agent for United Airlines, based at Newark Liberty International Airport. Jorge was known for well defined sense of humor and for dispensing advice and help to all sought him out. He loved family get-togethers, backyard BBQs and swimming laps in his pool. While he enjoyed watching many sports, he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Jorge also enjoyed many years of extensive travel in both the United States and abroad. Above all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a devoted son and brother.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Alfredo and Martha Rossi and his brother Gabriel Rossi, Jorge is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ana Rossi; his children, Ana "Anita" Kalaizes and her husband George, of Old Bridge, George Rossi and his wife Colleen, of Spotswood and, Diana Rossi and her fiancé Richard Straub, of North Caldwell; his siblings, Alfredo Rossi and his wife Maria, Nestor Rossi and his companion Jennifer and Martha Ray and her husband Michael, and; his grandchildren, Sophia and Gianna Rossi and Luke Kalaizes.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 9:15 AM from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1st from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
