Richard Martin Fortes, Jr.

Richard Martin Fortes, Jr., 60, of North Brunswick passed away July 26, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.  

Born in Cleveland, OH, Richard was a lifelong Spotswood resident.  

He was a self employed landscaper.  Richard got much satisfaction helping those less fortunate that he.  Throughout his life, Richard helped the homeless by giving food and clothing His charitable woks also extended to his devoted religious beliefs.  Richard was good man who helped many when they were in need.   

He was a avid Boston and Yankees fan.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Thomas Fortes, his daughter, Jennifer Duffy. his sister, Brenda Margarito and his best friend to this day, his former wife, Marina.  

Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 11 AM to 12 NOON at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, N.J.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
