Albert Cooper, 89, of Spotswood passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in Old Bridge.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was raised in Union and then lived in Perth Amboy before settling in Spotswood in 1971. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, where he earned a Purple Heart. For more than 40 years he was a computer analyst with the Department of Defense based at Fort Monmouth before retiring in 1995. Al and his late wife enjoyed many wonderful summers staying in Seaside Heights. He loved to tinker with electronic gadgets and computers. He was an avid fan of New York Mets Baseball. But most of all, Al was a family man who enjoyed the quiet times with his wife, children, grandchildren and all of his pets.
Predeceased by his wife, Rosemarie in 2009, he is survived by his children, Patricia, Jeffrey and his wife Denise and, David and his wife Kathy; his grandchildren, Aaron, Justin, Jesse, Christina, Jeffrey, Andrew, Dana and David, and; his great-grandchildren, Gino, Brianna, James, Justin, Sean, Riley and Rosie.
