Armanda Scaduto, 85, of Monroe Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Born and raised in Foligno, Italy, Armanda came to the United States in 1966 and lived many years in Brooklyn, New York before settling in Monroe Township in 1998. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, tend to her gardens and plants and sew her own clothing. A loving and devoted wife, mother and sister, what Armanda enjoyed most was spending time with and, taking care of all of her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Agostino in 1981, her son Paul in 2007 and her brother Caterino Marchionni, she is survived by her children, Joseph and his wife Barbara of East Brunswick and Anna Rita Gialanella and her husband Antonio of Spotswood; her sister Fiorella Marchionni; her grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Anthony and Jaclyn, and; her great-grandson Nicholas.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM Friday, October 23rd, from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York after our Mass. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22nd from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions placed on gatherings and activities, all current guidelines are to be observed during visitations, including the use of face coverings and social distancing.
