Bernice Cichy

Bernice Cichy, 89, of Monroe Township passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 in Wayne.

Born and raised in Newark, Bernice settled in Monroe Township in 1982. She retired in 1983 as a Claims Analyst with Federal Pacific Electric Company of Newark. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Spotswood. She loved baseball and was an avid New York Yankees and Mets fan and she loved attending their games. Bernice also enjoyed playing golf, taking trips to Atlantic City and attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events and games.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Julian Cichy, in 2006, her sister Marion, her brothers George and Ray and her step-grandson Christopher in 2019, she is survived by her sons, Edward Cichy and his wife Lisa, of Vineland and Kenneth Cichy and his wife Susan, of Little Falls; her brother Lenny and his wife Ellen; her grandchildren, Kenneth, Jr. (Becky), Pamela (Dave), Karen (Jason), Joseph, Kyle (Debraann) and Kyra (Tyler), and; her step-grandchildren, Thomas (Devon), Michael (Michelle) and Diane (John); along with many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
