Damien H. Bennet, III

Damien Henry Bennet, III, 57, of Monroe Township passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at University Medical Center, Newark.

Born in Monroe Township, Damien is a lifelong resident. For more than 30 years he worked as a carpenter with Local 1006 of the Carpenters Union in Milltown, retiring eight years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors, country music, working on cars and 'tinkering' with things. Most of all, Damien loved to be with his family.

Predeceased by his wife Roseann in 2011, his father, Lester and brothers, David and Dennis, he is survived by his children, Natasha Anderson and her husband Brian, of Spotswood, Amanda Bennet and her partner Jenna Klimcsak, of Virginia and David Bennet and his fiancee Courtney Drake, of Monroe Twp.; his mother Lillian Bennet of Monroe Twp., a brother Lester Bennet and his wife Diane of Pennsylvania, and; his grandchildren Aurora and Arrow Anderson.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday, March 2nd from Spotswood Funeral Home 475 Main Street, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 1st from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
