Esterina Campora, 81, of Monroe Township passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
Born in Amantea, Italy, She came to the United States in 1970 and lived in New York City before settling in Monroe Township in 1999. Esterina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed keeping her family together. She was a devout catholic and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and singing and she even taught her grandchildren to sing Christmas songs in Italian. Sunday dinners for her entire family were very special for her and she enjoyed them immensely. She was an avid watcher of General Hospital, ABC News and the Church channel.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vincent Campora; her children, John Campora, Lucia O'Scannell and her husband Rory, Luigi Campora and his wife Rossella, Antonella Passalacqua and her husband Joseph and Carmela Valeriano and her husband Antonio, all of Monroe Township; her brother, Giuseppe Provenzano of Italy, and; her grandchildren, Lucia, Shannon, Rossella, Thomas, Giulia, Maria, Ambra, Alessia and Vincenzo.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM Monday, March 9th from Spotswood Funeral Home 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
