Jeanette Gaffney

Jeanette Gaffney, 75, of Spotswood passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Born and raised in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, NY, Jean settled in Spotswood in 1976 and resided in the same home until her unexpected, peaceful passing. She raised three children while working two full-time jobs, as both a Teacher’s Aide for Spotswood Board of Education, and as a Manager for Host Marriott Services. Jean loved getting together with her close friends and devoted neighbors for lunch weekly and cherished spending time with her beloved family on holidays, at parties, BBQ’s and pool get-togethers.

Mama Jean was caring, selfless, easy going, and the most loyal Mother, Nanny, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Neighbor and Coworker anyone could ever ask for. She will surely be missed by everyone that knew her. Jean lived for her family, friends and faith and no matter what challenges she faced throughout her life, she always, emphatically said, “I’m Wonderful!!”

Predeceased by her sister Rose Beinert, she is survived by her children JoAnn Pinkham and husband Brian of Jackson, Linda Gulinazzo of Cape Coral, FL and Joseph Gaffney and wife Cindy of Easton, PA; her sisters Maria Holmberg and Jodi Fiordaliso; her grandchildren Tiffany, Breann, Kayla, Alicia, Joseph Jr, Vincenzo, Sofia and Giuliana, and; her great-grandchildren Romeo and coming soon, Nina.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM, Monday, July 18th, from the Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Committal will be at 1:30 PM in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY, where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents Vincenza and Joseph Fiordaliso.
