Marie Ricci

Marie Ricci, 85, of Spotswood passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Marie, a loving wife, mother and grandmother was never shy about starting a conversation with anyone, anywhere. She could captivate a room with her beautiful singing voice and as a founding member of the Clearwater Village Players she entertained the people of Spotswood for over a quarter of a century. A wonderful cook, Marie was always ready with a freezer full of food to feed you when you visited.

Predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Dominic Paris and her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Ricci, she is survived by her children, Vera Beal, Robyn Sheridan and her husband Mark, Joseph Ricci and his wife Tricia, and; her grandchildren Alex, Hannah, Nick, Julian, Gina and Maya.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, November 19th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Funeral services will begin Saturday morning with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood, followed by cremation at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Marie’s memory by performing a random act of kindness or singing a song to someone you love. She was love personified and even her smile could bring peace and happiness to strangers.
